PRIDE Committee
Hi Everyone!
I wanted to share with you some photos that about what we have done around town that I spoke about in my Public Relations and PRIDE reports these last few months.
Below are photos of the graduation banners we put up all over town for celebrate out 5th grade, 8th grade, and Senior Graduates. I was able to use a local company, O'Dowd Advertising and worked personally with Tom O'Dowd to get these banners printed and ready in less than 6 days! He was amazing to work with and the out pour of thanks and appreciation we have gotten in texts, emails, social media, and even from Dr. Rovtar during the last board meeting has been wonderful! Sue Marinello did a great job getting some photos for us and even principals Mike Pasciuto (Lazar) and Dave Melucci (William Mason) came over for a photo opp with our signs!
*Huge thank you to Sal and Angelo from maintenance for getting these banners up! It was definitely not an easy task and your work is very much appreciated!*

We were so sad when it was determined that we would not be going back to school. All of our graduates would miss a typical ceremony and this also included our 5th grade LEAD Graduates. Anne and Ryan Olohan from Seven Scoops in Montville worked with me as I restructured our LEAD grants to still give the students of Hilldale and Woodmont something to commemorate their LEAD Graduation. I hand wrote 109 congratulation cards and stuffed them with these certificates. Officer McGowan and I then stuffed the LEAD Bags (which Sue Marinello will be posting soon) with these cards and the giveaways of pencils, bracelets, and sunglasses that we would have given them at Skyzone. We wanted these boys and girls to know how proud we were of their hard work and still celebrate them in some way. The parent feedback on this has been wonderful!
Our wonderful retirement gifts have been purchased and June Carle graciously mailed each gift to all our retirees.
Since we were not able to hold the retirement dinner this year, we still wanted to support 202 Bistro in Lincoln Part because they have been so good to us. Fatos Semilini was so appreciative of our business and said our support for his restaurant could not have come at a better time. We also got engraved pewter boxes for our retirees from Schroth Jewelers in Montville. Linda Gannon was wonderful to work with and she really helped to personalize the gifts so that they would be timeless and also show our gratitude with an inscribed thank you and the year of their retirement on the inside. Schroths was also very ecstatic that we thought of them and thanked us for our business. Some retirees have already received their gifts and thanked us for boxes and a chance to still go out and have their celebratory meal.
